The prices of the Main Mining Products exported from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are showing an upward trend on the International Market for the week from March 14th to 19th, 2022.

According to projections by experts from the National Commission for Mercurial Prices, a service attached to the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the tonne of Cobalt should register an increase of around 2,756.25 USD during the period under analysis.

The ton of Cobalt is expected to fall from 75,521.25 USD last week to 78,277.50 USD per ton this week in the international market.
Copper, the DRC’s main export material, will trade this week at 10,529 USD per ton against 9,957.40 USD per ton last week, resulting in a positive price difference of 576 USD.

According to experts from the National Commission of Mercurial Prices, Zinc should also see a price increase during this week. This product will sell at 4,087.15 USD per tonne this week against 3,735.20 USD per tonne last week, a positive price difference of 351 USD.

It should also be noted that since the beginning of the Russian military operations in Ukraine, the prices of raw materials have taken the lift on the international market.

Mining products are not the only ones to experience a price increase on the international market. Thus, oil, gas and several other products are also seeing a price increase.
